PURPOSE

The purpose of the Association is to:

  • Promote regional fire prevention and community education within Snohomish County .
  • Establish a comprehensive regional youth firesetting intervention program that will reduce the incidence of fireplay and firesetting by children and adolescents through early identification, evaluation, and treatment.
  • Provide training and education regarding investigations, code enforcement and public education, enabling its members to design and deliver effective uniform messages to their communities.
  • Provide a forum for regional resources and exchange of information.

 

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

In January of each year, the Association members shall put forth goals and objectives that support the purpose of the Association.
 

Meetings

The regular business meetings of the Snohomish County Fire Prevention Association shall be held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. At the conclusion of each meeting, the Association shall choose a location for the next meeting.

The year-end meeting shall be held in December, at which time there shall be a report from the officers. Among these reports there shall be a comprehensive review of the progress made towards the goals and objectives of the Association.

Membership

Membership is open to all active, retired, paid, or volunteer fire department personnel, fire and life safety industry representatives, government agency representatives and any other individuals who desire to promote and support fire and life safety in Snohomish County .
